Bahrain Space Agency Represents the Kingdom at a Middle East Space Law Launch Event

The Kingdom of Bahrain advances as a global and regional leader in space exploration. Reaching milestones in technology and leadership, the Bahrain Space Agency, was invited to give the keynote speech at the launch of the Middle East Space Law and Legislation Committee, under the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences.

 

Coordination around space law and governance is essential as advancement continues around the globe. The Middle East Space Law and Legislation Committee aims to foster dialogue around the region’s role in global space governance, legal frameworks to support strategic opportunities, and bolster international cooperation. Adding critical information to the opening discussions, Rasha Al Emad, Head of Strategic Planning for the Bahrain Space Agency, presented on Bahrain’s development of a national regulatory framework for space governance.

 

Rasha Al Emad emphasized that as the global space sector expands, clear legal frameworks are increasingly critical to fostering innovation, investment, and safety. Mohamed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, CEO of the Bahrain Space Agency, reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to raising awareness of space law and promoting knowledge exchange across the Arab world in line with its strategic vision.
