His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labor met with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Asmaa El-Ganainy.

 

The meeting showcased Bahrain’s experience in launching initiatives that aim at stabilizing the development of the labor market, commensurate which the local needs and global changes, resulting in keeping the unemployment rate at its secure level.

 

They highlighted the programmes launched to support women in the work fields to consolidate the principles of competitiveness and gender equality at work, as well as the efforts of the Kingdom’s to combat discrimination and human trafficking in all their forms.

 

The IMF delegation is on a visit to the kingdom, within the framework of Bahrain’s ongoing cooperation with IMF and other specialised international organisations to exchange and evaluate experiences and work on developing them to serve its development goals and national priorities.
