Enhancing Maritime Security in the Arabian Gulf

Bahrain stands beside our U.S. allies in efforts to protect Arabian Gulf shipping corridors as a partner of the International Maritime Security Construct (IMSC), which also includes the U.K., Australia, the U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, and Albania.

Bahrain is also a partner of the U.S.-led Operation Sentinel, a naval coalition also operating out of Bahrain. Our shared goal is to escort vessels and protect shipping in the Arabian Gulf and through one of the world’s most important transit corridors, The Strait of Hormuz. Together we can protect freedom of navigation and the free flow of maritime commerce and improve the detection of threats.
