His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a delegation from US Congress at the Al-Safriya Palace in Bahrain

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at the Al-Safriya Palace today a delegation from US Congress, led by Senators Jacklyn Rosen and James Lankford, who are currently on a visit to the kingdom.

 

HM the King welcomed the members of the visiting delegation, and reviewed with them the long-standing solid relations between the two friendly countries.

 

HM King Hamad expressed pride in the strategic relations and strong partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, noting that bilateral relations have been characterised by mutual trust and respect, cooperation and close coordination in all fields. He expressed the Kingdom’s aspiration to continue strengthening and developing these distinguished relations at all levels with the United States, as friends and allies.

 

HM the King affirmed that such visits contribute to strengthening the friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries, as well as to providing opportunities to exchange opinions vis-à-vis various challenges facing the region.

 

HM the King praised the pivotal role played by the USA in establishing peace, security and stability, as well as in strengthening the pillars of global peace, commending the active efforts of the countries of the region and the USA in all fields, particularly in securing the protection of international navigation, oil supplies and world trade, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness to support and strengthen these efforts.

 

Members of the US Congress expressed thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad for HM’s efforts and constant keenness to develop the deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries, voicing pride in the solid bilateral relations.

 

They also lauded the pivotal role played by the kingdom, and its stances in support of efforts to establish peace, security and stability.
